History of Malaysia

Malay Peninsula turned into a trading center of Southeast Asia as China and India started their trade through the Strait of Melaka. Many of the early empire that was founded in the 10th century came instead of ports, including Langkasuka and Bujang Valley in Kedah, segmented and Ganges in Perak State, and Pan Pan in Kelantan. In the early 5th century, the Sultanate of Melaka was established and its economic prosperity has attracted invaders from the Portuguese, Dutch and British.
Straits Settlements (Straits Settlements) Crown Colony (Crown Colony), Britain was formed in 1826, and Britain gradually spreading influence and kawalannya to the whole peninsula. Straits Settlements included Penang, Singapore and Melaka.

Sultanate of Brunei which was originally expressed a desire to accompany Malaysia withdrew due to public opposition sebahagian Brunei. At the beginning of the formation of Malaysia, many problems occur for example with Indonesia ("Confrontation"), and claims by the Philippines to Sabah.
